Dientes Community Dental Care is expanding access to pediatric dental care with the addition of two pediatric specialty dentists, Dr. Jody Chiang and Dr. Danny Do. With their arrival Dientes is now accepting new patients ages 0–18, giving more Santa Cruz County children the opportunity to establish a dental home.
Dr. Chiang and Dr. Do bring years of specialized training and experience, including dental care for infants, children with special needs, and young patients with complex medical conditions. Their expertise goes beyond treating teeth. Pediatric specialists understand how to help children feel comfortable, build trust with families, and establish healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
For Dr. Chiang, joining Dientes brings her career full circle. She was once a Dientes patient herself, visiting the organization for emergency dental care as a child.
“Dientes holds a special place in my heart because I was a dental patient here when I was little,” said Dr. Chiang. “Having grown up in the Santa Cruz area, I feel a close connection. I’m most excited to provide care to children in the community where I grew up and to build trust with my patients and their families.”
Dr. Do is equally passionate about creating a welcoming experience for young patients.
“I’ve seen how taking the time to make a child feel recognized, understood and comfortable can completely change their experience,” said Dr. Do. “I hope every child leaves my dental chair feeling safe, heard and proud. Even if they arrive a little nervous or unsure, I want them to leave feeling a little more confident about coming back next time.”
“We are excited to have two additional dentists who are dedicated to the idea that every child deserves the opportunity to receive compassionate, high-quality dental care.” Dientes Chief Dental Officer and EVP of Operations Dr. Sepi Taghvaei continues, “Their addition allows us to open our doors wider to provide even more children in our community with a dental home.
