A docent at Big Basin will lead an easy hike while telling the story of love in the woods. Under the tall trees visitors will hear the tales of fairy circles, the reproductive cycle of coast redwoods, squirrels, banana slugs and acorn woodpeckers and if time allows the tried-and-true tale of lichen love.
Meet the docent at the Big Basin visitor center at 12:45pm. Dress in Layers, bring water (there is no potable water at the park) and a snack.
Participation is free; however, a $10 vehicle day-use fee will be charged upon arrival, reserve your spot here.
