I haven’t yet read the article because I got stuck on the headline. Why is the first thing mentioned about Kari her motherhood? Women with children are smart, capable adults. Lots of women have jobs like judges, senators, engineers, doctors. Most women are parents, so….? Why mention it? You’d never see an article titled ‘Dad Adam Savage….’ Media are responsible for shaping our culture. While society may not be progressive enough to shift its focus away from Kari being a mom AND having a wicked-cool job (wow!), it’s your role to nudge us towards being a better society. All that said — thanks for doing a piece on a smart, funny, and accomplished woman!!
